JB Desaru 1day tour
Kiang Kee Bak Kut Teh (强记肉骨茶)

A must try foodies when trip to desaru. A lot of Bak Kut Teh lover traveling here to taste this.
There are more than 1,000 of them in this farm, including a toothless 130-year-old croc passed on from his grandfather. Past its prime, this geriatric prefers to spend its golden years sunbathing rather than scaring away the visitors.
The crocs here are of the saltwater crocodile species (Crocodylus Porosus). As you venture deeper into the farm, you may notice that the crocodiles keep getting bigger. Owner may also oblige trigger-happy tourists by going right to the water’s edge to stir up some “excitement” for that perfect photo moment.

Desaru Ostrich Farm has more than 100 of ostriches. In the farm, visitors have the opportunity to get close and personal with the ostriches. This is indeed one interesting activity. A caretaker of the ostriches will be your personal tour guide, touring and guiding you throughout the farm. Interesting facts of those ostriches will be told and explained by the caretaker.
There are many varieties of crafts and products selling in the farm as souvenirs such as decorative lamp shades and an ostrich egg. Moreover, on can ride the ostrich with an extra fee.
The Desaru Fruit Farm
Desaru Fruit Farm offers visitors a fun time learning about the country’s tropical fruits. Packed with over 100 varieties of tropical fruits, 10 species of plants, a petting zoo, koi fish pond and other attractions, a visit here promises an interesting experience for the whole family.
The Firefly Valley Leisure Park
Fireflies emit light at their lower abdomen to attract mates and also scare away predators. They are harmless, but visitors should refrain from catching any as this would pose a threat to its fragile population.
Fireflies often congregate at a vast mangrove swamp, especially at the Berembang trees. One should keep silent and avoid flash photography so as not to scare them away.
There are fewer fireflies around on rainy nights and when the moon is full. The best time to watch fireflies is one to four hours after sunset. To get the most out of your trip, do plan your journey in advance.

Vietnamese tourist left in tears after begging for refund at Sim Lim shop
What was supposed to be a happy vacation for a Vietnamese tourist turned into a nightmare, as he was left in tears over the weekend after trying to get a refund for an iPhone 6 from Sim Lim Square shop MobileAir.
According to a report in Lianhe Zaobao, the Vietnamese tourist was a factory worker with a monthly income of $200 and had saved up for months to buy an iPhone 6 for his girlfriend’s birthday.
He was in Singapore for a holiday with his girlfriend when he received information that there was a ready stock in Sim Lim Square. He excitedly went to the shop and paid $950 cash on the spot. To his surprise and dismay, he was asked to pay another $1,500 for a warranty package before he could leave with the phone.
He then begged for a refund and even went on his knees, only to be laughed at by MobileAir employees, according to the Chinese-language paper. His girlfriend finally decided to call the police, despite the staff saying that they would retract the offer of a $600 refund if she did so. In the couple’s entire ordeal, no passers-by stepped in to help them.

Subsequently, the police arrived and officers from the Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE) were called in. The couple was ultimately refunded $400, which the tourist said he accepted because he had to return to Vietnam in two days and wasn’t sure if CASE could help him get back a full refund.The tourist went home Monday afternoon.
This comes after MobileAir recently made the headlines for refunding a woman $1,010 in 18kg worth of coins, including one-cent and five-cent coins. That incident had also prompted CASE to launch an investigation on the complaints that it has received against the shop this year. Details.

How to get to Pulau Tioman
By Air
The fastest & easiest way. Previously provide by Berjaya Air. There are only one locations to depart from to reach Tioman by air which is Subang Airport Kuala Lumpur (60min reach).
But not not sure they still provide, because check online a lot of time, there is no flight schedule. For more info, please check Berjaya-Air.
(Singapore no more provide since March 2014)
If not you need to travel by bus or car, travel to Mersing or Tanjung Gemok, then transfer to ferry to get to Pulau Tioman.
We recommend you to use Mersing main getaway because lots of ferry here to Tioman Island.Every 1 hour or 2 hour depart from here.
From Mersing or Tanjung Gemuk to Tioman Island is just a 2 to 3 hour boat ride away. If you prefer a shorter comfortable ride, air-conditioned fast ferries which depart daily can make the trip in approximately 2hours.
By Bus
-From Singapore
-From Kuala Lumpur
PLEASE NOTE: The Mersing Bus Terminal is has shifted to the Local Bus Terminal closer to town. Travellers will have to walk some 10 - 15min to Mersing Jetty. If you have a lot of baggage, you can hire a taxi which will cost approx. RM6 - RM10 per trip per way .
By Car
Before entering Kluang town, there’s a roundabout, take 3 O’clock. Follow signs to Mersing.
Alternatively, take the East Coast Highway (E8) from KL to Kuantan and Route No 3 southwards through Pekan and Rompin to Mersing.
Driving from Melacca
Take the PLUS Highway (E2) south to Tangkak; Route No 23 east to Segamat; Route No 12 north-east to Muadzam Shah;  Route No 63 east to Rompin and  Route No 3 south to Tanjung Gemuk.
Before you're on your way to Tioman, make sure you know at which "kampong" your resort is located and remember the name of your kampong. Kampong means village in Malay and it's these villages that are announced when you reach Tioman's various destinations.
Hot Tips
* Boats and ferry services become irregular and can even stop during the monsoon from November to February.
* There is just one ATM on the island in Tetek village, so bring cash! However most of the diving centres accept credit cards.

From elsewhere in Malaysia: Transnasional S&S Internasional and other bus companies that serve destinations along the east coast (Kuala Terengganu, Kuantan, Kota Bahru etc.) mostly stop at Mersing as well. S&S Internasional also has a service from Melaka.

Take North-South Highway, head south towards Johor.

Tioman Island
Tioman Island (locally known as Gunung Daik Bercabang Tiga) is a small island located 32 km off the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia in the state of Pahang, and is some 39 km long and 12 km wide. It was the first discovered by Chinese and Arabs seafarers
and traders around thousand years ago. Tioman was named one of the ten
most beautiful islands in the world.It has eight main villages, the largest and most populous being Kampung Tekek in the north. 
Pulau Tioman
is suitable for snorkeling and scuba diving. Today ,its one of the best locations
along the East Coast of Penisular Malaysia to dive, snorkel or just
relax and enjoy the tranquility of the sea and the beaches.It is one of
the hot spots for scuba diving with some 20 dive sites all located
within less than 30 minute boat ride from the main villages such Salang
Bay and Ayer Batang.
Tioman lies in the South China Sea,just on the edge
of the famous coral triangle where most species of coral,fish and other
marine life are found. The underwater scenery is made out of large
granite boulders, densely covered in soft corals,hards corals and
gorgonian sea fans.If you go beyond 20 meters deep often encompass the
rare black corals as well. These rock formations and corals gardens are a
perfect nursery ground for an abundance of fish species which
themselves again attract predators such as barracudas, travellies and
even sharks. Sea turtles are seen on some 70% for all dives and there is
not a dive where you don't find amazing macro creatures such as
colorful nudibranchs.It is an option for
lovers. The seabed is full of eyes-catching corals. You will be
captivated by the variety of aquatic living organisms. The scenery of
beautiful sunset will take your breath away. It is a place to relax
yourself, staying away from the hectic city life.

biodiversity is just phenomenal. Besides aquatic animals, lush tropical
jungles are the habitats of various protected birds, insects and
mammals

According to legend, Tioman Island is the resting place of a beautiful dragon princess. Whilst flying from China to visit her prince in Singapore, this beautiful maiden stopped to seek solace in the crystal-clear waters of the South China Sea.
